Motor Boat Cruise, May 1960

"Look mom, no hands!". It's comforting to know that if you happened to fall asleep during your cruise, you would still wind up back at the dock safe and sound. If this attraction had survived, they could (and probably would) give it a "Pirates" theme - - who cares if it is in Tomorrowland.

Hooray for the Motor Boat Cruise!

Shhhh.

Quiet about the "Pirates" theme... Don't give them any ideas.

Now that they've fired all the creative types, anything will pass for magic at Imagineering.

I'm pretty sure there was a cable or some kind of guide on those boats. True story, just the other day I was on Tom Sawyer's Island, and another guest, in a very authoratative voice was explaining to his party, "Why yes, they do use those canoes, but they are all on a cable system. You have to paddle, but you can only go where the cable lets you..."

I just smiled and kept my mouth shut:)

Hey anonymous - don't give up hope on the Imagineers yet - there are still a few creative ones over there.

It is certainly interesting for me to read that post. Thank author for it. I like such themes and anything connected to them. I definitely want to read more soon.
