Monsanto A Go-Go

Here's an oddball photo taken by the "King of Concrete" in 1959... but he did manage to get a nice look at the exit of Monsanto's House of the Future. The most interesting thing is the sample slice showing the way the walls of the house were constructed, with delicious caramel used for insulation. Who knew!

All of the men who had just walked through the house who couldn't care less about the colorful synthetic fabrics, modern furniture, and the futuristic kitchen probably stopped here and rubbed their chins thoughtfully.

There is a display of some kind to the extreme right, I sure wish I could see what was there!

Fun rare photo of the exit! Oh man I wanna know what's in that display on the right too! Nice framing of the concrete, the "king" stikes again! THANKS!

For increased rigidity, superior insulation, blissful quiet and underfoot comfort -- insist on blown foam.

That’s one of the most interesting and quirky photos you have posted. The king of concrete comes through once again. That poor guy. I think his viewfinder was mis-calibrated and he probably had an eyesight issue. The top of all the subjects are just slightly cut off. At any rate he provided us with a rare view of the House construction.
