Three From November 1967
There is no wait for the "Alice In Wonderland" attraction; check out all of the empty caterpiggles just waiting for you! Where is everybody? I still love that giant mushroom, in case you were wondering. Overhead, the Skyway buckets are now more-or-less rectangular boxes; seeing them makes me wish I could ride them one more time.
As far as parade crowds go, that is pretty measly. The sun is setting, and all of these creatures are returning to their burrows where they will spin silky webs and sleep the night away.
Again, the park looks nearly deserted. Mark, our friendly popcorn seller, knows that if he doesn't meet his sales quota, he will have to go back to shoveling horse poo on Main Street. And none of us wants that, do we?

Ha! Love the commentary, the pictures are merely a bonus. hehe.
Mark, our friendly popcorn seller, does look dejected doesn't he? He knows that his job will be among the first to go when the service industry is also heavily outsourced. Or is it that he is exhausted? One can only polish a cart so many times.
Cute sneakers and pink socks, didn't think Three Little Pigs would go for that style. Practical Pig has clearly had his way. Hm spinning webs, burrowing for the night... I like that. But where did the critters go for the night before Critter Country?
I'm glad you still love that mushroom because I like it too. Although surely there wasn't much room in there to mush much.
I like the attraction poster version of the book on top of the mushroom better than the artwork that's been there since the 80's remodel.
Those kids really should get out of the street in photo #2.
Why are the three little pigs wearing nurses shoes?
Popcorn man looks so sad... Maybe he's thinking about what could happen with that propane cylinder at his feet!
Oh wait, upon further inspection, that not a propane cylinder, its a fire extinguisher, just in case the GAS LINE at his feet explodes! No wonder he's so glum...
Nothing like a cool pic of a popcorn wagon. My favorite.
Nothing quite like just walking onto Alice...over and over again! Especially the old Alice with the Upside Down Room and Bang Crash room.
i think popcorn man is sad to see the park this empty :(
Alice is one of my favorite "not at WDW rides" when we go there, and i do LOVE the Skyway bonus
yes, my first thought was that the Three Little Pigs got new school shoes!
I believe most of those caterpiggles are parked on the side rail taking the day off...It must have been a slow day, indeed!
I agree that the attraction poster looked better than the new book cover they use up there. And, though I think the 1984 remodel improved the ride overall, I do wish they'd kept the Upside Room, the Oversize Room, The Crash Bang Room and the Screaming Doors at the end. It used to feel a lot more nightmarish...in a good way!
I just discovered this blog after doing a google search for images of the skyway. I'm working through all your posts now, I'm still in 2006 but I wanted to post and say thank you very much for all of this! My wife and I are Disneyland fanatics and although we grew up with 80's Disneyland as our childhood, we have a very keen interest in classic Disneyland.
Keep up the great work, you are appreciated!
Thanks for your nice comment, Ryan W! I encourage you to check out some of the other blogs listed to the right... there's some truly amazing stuff!
If you don't mind, I have made mention of you on my own blog and both mine and my wife's facebook pages. We appreciate your work!
