Fantasyland, 1957

Here's a lovely, "postcard worthy" shot of Sleeping Beauty Castle, presumably in the winter of 1957.  It is a mere 77 feet tall, which sounds ridiculously tiny by today's standards. But I wouldn't change it, no sir. Notice the area to the right, where the Matterhorn would eventually go.

The lovable, toylike Casey Jr. circus train chugs through the patchwork-quilt Storybook Land and past Cinderella's castle.

You know, Major - even though The Sleeping Beauty Castle isn't even two years old yet, it still looks as if it could have been standing since the days of Knights and Fair Maidens.

Tallyho. (I guess that's not appropriate).

Thanks, Major.

The people standing next to the drawbridge and peering over the edge do sort of put it into perspective, don't they? But it's still a masterpiece. A bijou, if you will, and I will.

Nanook, I don't want to live in a world where "Tallyho" isn't appropriate for ALL occasions.

Melissa, I say it's a bezoar.
