The Hostesses With The Mostesses, July 15 1968

Here's a fun photo taken inside the INA Carefree Corner in 1968. Three lovely young ladies are there to help us. The one on the left is flirting outrageously, and it's working. Behind them you can see the rows of bound guest registries. I believe there was one for each state. Wonder what became of these large volumes? In front of them is a glass-topped case; let's take a closer look!

Disneyland was so cool that they would happily send you to the competition, confident that you would be back no matter what. From right to left I can make out flyers for Forest Lawn, the Los Angeles Zoo, and Marineland; Universal Studios, the MGM Studio Tour, and Independence Hall at Knott's; Jungleland, Knott's Berry Farm, Movieland Wax Museum, Calico, and what might be the San Diego Zoo. And a few more that I can't quite discern.

The poster behind middle pretty - uh oh, am I catching the poster bug from you? - is for some place called Disneyland!

The flirting cutie may be a flirt but does she care? No! She is care free...

Wow check out the name tags. I like the translites in the background, the one on the right advertises McDonnel Douglas who were sponsors of the Flight to the Moon attraction. I also believe the rolled up paper sitting on the showcase is a copy of the Constitution of the United States of America given away by INA. Very nice image and very cute INA hostesses.

Sunscreen must have been hard to come by in 1968 by the looks of those pusses!

They are wearing the second of the thin oval style nametags worn at Disneyland.. first was first used in 1962, and was darker blue with a silver foil disneyland castle.. the one they are wearing has the castle and outline in gold foil.
