Sunday Leftuggies

Yes indeedy, it's another Snoozer Sunday, with two "why even bother?" photos, for those who need a Disneyland fix no matter how inane.

All that being said, I do love that old tuna boat. Inside, there was a restaurant, 3000 square feet (they used Tardis technology). You could get tuna burgers, tuna shakes, tuna salads, tuna tacos, or a delightful peanut butter and tuna sandwich. Try the tuna juice!

I guess this was supposed to be a photo of a swan, but the bird is pretty hard to see in those inky shadows. Nevertheless, I like this because it's a photo of a small tucked-away area, usually ignored, and actually quite pretty.

Mmmmmmmm, tuna juice! Major, I am one of those who needs a Disneyland fix, no matter how inane! A VINTAGE Disneyland fix, that is. I don't think I'll need to see the current Disneyland for a while....if ever! Next week will mark the one year anniversary for me of not having an annual pass (after 11 consecutive years of having one) and I'm not even missing it. I really thought I would go through withdrawals, but it didn't happen. I prefer to visit the Disneyland that you provide. Thanks for supplying what I need!

Major-

Aren't the tuna shakes great-??!! (And I thought I was the only person who had a predilection for that goofy concoction). And I'm having no problem seeing the black swans, and the chickens, and the geese, and the bunny rabbits...

Thanks, Major.

A great shot of the Pirate Ship featuring her best bower dangling from the cat!

My parents would get us the tuna sandwiches but a tuna shake, no. Sorry Nanook but the thought of a tuna shake still makes me gag a little.

TokyoMagic!, I like to add a little seltzer water to tuna juice for a refreshing summer drink. Congrats (?) on your year of not having an annual pass. I still can’t believe how much I don’t care about going to the park anymore. In the past the very idea would have been unthinkable. But they did it.

Nanook, just as long as they use real tuna, and not artificial tuna; it makes all the difference.

K. Martinez, thanks!

Steve DeGaetano, it just so happens that I am working my way through the Aubrey/Maturin series of books! Just finished “The Surgeon’s Mate” and have started “The Ionian Mission”. Love those stories.

DrGoat, just make one at home, it couldn't be easier. One scoop of premium vanilla ice cream, one small can of tuna (with juice), and a tablespoon of pickle relish. Voila!

Please Major, not this early in the morning. Egads!

Major, I am always in need of a Disneyland fix. When I can't read the blog, I scroll the pictures on my phone. These are just what I need.

I prefer my tuna juice hot, with a splash of grenadine and an orange slice.

Tuna Shakes are OK as long as you use Albacore...along with the juice of course.

Major, I agree with you totally that, 'They finally did it...'

Where's Chuck Heston when you need him?

Thanks!
