Rainbow Ridge, March 23 1960

Not much of a crowd on this overcast day in Rainbow Ridge. Let's ride the Mine Train over and over! I'm guessing that the woman in the foreground is an employee, possibly from one of the shops on Main Street. It's the striped outfit! Lady, if I am mistaken, I apologize. Love the red hat!

I think she is lost and can't find the wedding reception at the Disneyland hotel. Of course the buttoinare she is wearing is the tip off she is part of a wedding.

Hey matterhorn...I'll take your word for it! I had no idea that the Disneyland Hotel was already doing weddings back then.

I don't think they were, but the image of buttionare on a lady of that age always reminds me of a mom at a wedding.

I realize it's about twelve years too late to start casting doubt on the precise date for the batch labeled March 23, 1960, but I'm just getting around to indexing them. On that date the Mine Train was not operating. The Rainbow Caverns Mine Train closed October 11, 1959, and the Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland didn't open until May 28, 1960. Was the date handwritten on the photos?

Progressland, unfortunately I have no idea where that particular slide is, but the fact that I put a specific date in the title makes me think that it must have been written on the slide. Ordinarily I only have the month and year at best. Perhaps I mistyped... it happens. Due to the fact that this is the dark green livery, this has to pre-date the opening of Nature's Wonderland.
