Three From May 1960

Here are three leftuggies from two separate lots of slides from May 1960! That's 51 years ago, homies.

I call this one "March of the Crazy People". Look at all those people leaving in the middle of the day!

Even the little bit of landscaping that you can see here makes a huge difference in Frontierland's appearance. It really does seem as if Disneyland was the only park that realized how important trees and plants were (are).

If this hut had a computer with high-speed internet, it would be perfect for me! A roof to keep the gentle daily rains off, open sides to let the warm tropical breezes through (and geckos!), and a boat full of food right next to it. What more could a person want?

It's only a little after 4, get back in there!

The pines, sage and yucca are perfectly appropriate for the Western Fort, nicely framed with the tree on the right, and just catching ol' glory on the left.

And we catch a glimpse of the little grass shack at the edge of the jungle where gorillas don't blog, but majors do.

dont know how people can leave the park so early....i have trouble leaving even when i cant stop yawning at the end of a very long, happy day

i love the entrance to Frontierland at DL because the tall fence-like gates inviting me in....

i, too, can picture you there on the porch of that little shack, smiling as the Mark Twain goes slowly by and while munching on whatever you have scrounged up for lunch that day....ahhh, that's the life!

Oh, how many times I have thought the same thing about that little hut. Be it ever so humble.....

Those people are all heading over to Disney's California Adventure! Oh wait, the crowds flee FROM DCA, not to it!

The Fort seems to be making a lot of appearances lately, makes me miss it that much more.

Nice leftovers, I'm full - thanks!

I could think of a couple of things to add to that hut, but otherwise, that would do it.

Where I sign?
