Two From July 25, 1961

Mules aren't just delicious, they're fun to ride too. Much for fun to ride than an ostrich - you'll just have to take my word for it. And when you have a fantastic landscape like "Nature's Wonderland" to go through, you want to take your time, and a mule is just the thing. Alligators work too, but they have their drawbacks.

Poor Monstro has turned blue in recent years, I'm not sure who thought that was a good idea. How about purple? Or green? Anything goes, apparently. I think that most of you will agree that he looked much better (more formal?) in his black and white tuxedo. And those big pointy chompers look ready to do some serious damage to a canal boat.

That kid looks familiar...we've seen him before, right? And is that a giant peppermint stick that he's holding in the photo of Monstro? Or a mailing tube containing some cool artwork, perhaps?

Monstro should've stayed black!

Hey, that kid is holding one of those tubes that probably contained a Disneyland wall map. Hey kid, store it away for 48 years and you’ll make some real money!

Nice "you are there" feel to the top, which is especially great since I can't be there!

Alligators. Didn't they consider them for Pirates at one point? Good thing they decided on fiberglass boats. hehe.
