Two From June 1969

Here's a pair from June, 1969 - one "different" view (but not that amazing), and one "OK" view. Let's start with the "different" photo, with two little girls quenching their thirst at two classic Disneyland water fountains (one is tall, one is short). The bags of C&H Sugar have been stolen by teenagers, I'm sorry to say. The girl with the blue jacket is all ready to do a spit-take when somebody tells a joke. It looks like we are right near the Haunted Mansion, though I as unsure if it is back there at the upper portion of the frame or not.

Next is this shot of Mr. Toad's palatial manor in Storybook Land. Toady really lived it up! Is the architectural style "Georgian"? Down by the water we can see Ratty's house, complete with a little rowboat. In the foreground is a little girl sporting mouse ears.

Major-
Yes, the Haunted Mansion is behind those gals. Inquiring minds want to know why Miss. green sweater chose to walk behind the drinking fountain for her refill. Is she incapable of using her right hand to operate the bubbler, or was instructed by the FBI to 'never face away from crowds...'

Thanks, Major.

The older girl looks very regal in her royal blue cape with ermine collar. OK, it's not a cape... and the collar isn't ermine. But it still looks regal! "Ladies and gentlemen, the back side of water fountains!" I wonder why the girls are behind the fountains instead of in front? Maybe they're left-handed. Or maybe the previous slurpers stood back there, so they did too, thinking that's how its done. [Edit: I see Nanook already addressed this pressing issue.]

Mr. Toad really likes his fireplaces! Looks like there is a chimney in every room. It's pretty neat how they kept the small scale by using small shrubs, trees, etc.. It all looks so realistic. I can see Landshark's dorsal fin cutting through Mr. Toads front lawn. Nice view of Toad Hall. A rare White Rhino must've been sitting next to the Mouse-eared girl.

Thanks for the pics, Major.
