I'm continuing to discover slides that I did not scan many years ago, for one reason or another; but the images are finally getting their time in the spotlight!

From September 1969 comes this photo of a nice lady posing in front of City Hall. Some of you long-time GDB readers might remember this charming woman from other places, such as Knott's Berry Farm, Santa's Land, and yes, other Disneyland photos. I am wondering about the sticker on her sweater. Some kind of pass? Look, there's nobody sitting in any of the chairs in front of City Hall, we can take our pick!

It looks like Pluto snuck up on Red, as he is prone to do. He can't help it, he's a bird dog. Red is mighty happy to see him! I personally enjoy seeing the folds on Pluto's knees; you can imagine how the costume was stored on a shelf, maybe with the head above it in its own cubby. And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to walk over to the souvenir booth in the distance and spend all of my money.

I'm afraid Pluto's knees do appear to be in need of a good pressing-!
Love Red's stylish, 'slender' purse.

Happy shopping, Major.

Did we also see this lady years ago, at Japanese Village and Deer Park?

She is smiling, but her purse is frowning in that second pic!

Ah, cheery pics for a Wednesday!
City Hall is giving out a "Cracker Barrel" vibe with all those chairs in front.
Pluto is my wife's favorite Disney dog. I think it's because she actually loves dogs and since he is the most "dog-like..."
I'm sure Red had a great day! She seems to really be happy!
Ah...if only we could be there then...

Not to be confused with POTC Red.

She looks so happy she must have just mailed her taxes in that mailbox. She knows the IRS loves getting mail from Disneyland.

City hall looks great. Just how it appears in my dreams.

These are great scans today, Major

Red seems to be happy to see Pluto, and why not? He's loveable, cuddly, and when he gets a few Beggin Strips in him, he's fun at parties. Major, I'll meet you at the stand, dibbs on the Viewmaster reels. Thanks.

She has that Lucille Ball vibe going on! I love it.

Any one of those chairs would be fine, Major.

Does City Hall still have those? Seems like a good spot to people-watch.

I hope the pretty lady had a good day at the Park, thanks for posting her pictures for us.

Nanook, I would assume (or hope) that they laundered those costumes frequently, considering how hot they are, and the way they were touched by many grubby hands. Red is obviously not a woman to carry everything she needs in a purse!

TokyoMagic!, yes, that was one of the many places we have seen her! I wonder if she is married to a Cuban band leader?

Stu29573, if only City Hall gave out complimentary little pieces of cheese and sausage (on toothpicks of course) while you rested in the sun! I’d go to Disneyland just for that, forget the rides. I’ve never thought about who my favorite Disney dog would be; Pluto is a good choice, but there might be one that doesn’t come to mind right away!

zach, I love to brag about how I did my taxes back in the first week of March! It sucks to do them, but once they’re done… what a feeling of freedom! Glad you liked these pix.

Jonathan, those Beggin’ Strips look so good and bacon-y, I might nibble on a few myself. I hope they are not made from Soylent Green. I hope you find all the Viewmaster reels you need!

Irene, yes she really does. That red bouffant…

JG, as far as I know there are still chairs on City Hall’s porch, but it’s been quite a while since I’ve been to the park. Or since anybody’s been there! That lady and her husband clearly loved to go to amusement parks, which makes me sure that I would have liked them as people.

Red does look like a fun and classy lady!

City Hall sure is ready for lots of smokers, I see.

In the 2nd shot, do I see construction work being done on the DL Hotel, in the distance??

Red's pants are so nicely pressed and really put Pluto's costume condition to shame...maybe she'll take him home for a good bath and grooming.
