Frontierland, September 1969

Today I have three Frontierland views taken from the Columbia (apparently), with only a few months left before the 1960's would be over and we'd be into the 1970's, where nothing bad happened.

There's the wonderful Castle Rock on Tom Sawyer Island. Doesn't it look great? Folks are naturally drawn to the top of the Rock, just like King Kong was drawn to the top of the Empire State Building. In the background you can see a bit of Cascade Peak...

... which just happens to be our next picture! It was torn down after it was discovered that people enjoyed looking at it.

It's the Friendly Indian Village! Cool people like me just say "FIV" and other cool people know what I mean. Are you cool too? You'll just have to take my word that the village is friendly, since you can't actually go there. And except for the boy on the upturned canoe, they rest of the Indians seem to ignore us.

So,... It's really more of an Aloof Indian Village (AIV), right?
