Random Thursday

Sometimes the random selections on GDB can be pretty great. But not every time! I give these two a B-minus average.

If you happened to board the Monorail at the Disneyland Hotel (and were sitting on the port side of your Monorail) in 1964, and you turned your noggin to the left at just the right moment, you might have seen a view very similar to the one below.

Even grownups love to ride a carrousel once in a while. It's more fun than doing taxes!

I like the little skybucket coming out of the Matterhorn in the distance.

Ditto on the skybucket!

You know the Walt-sitting-on-a-bench-while-his-daughters-rode-the-carousel story about Disneyland's origin -- I've always wondered and wish I could have asked him: Why didn't he just get on the carousel with his daughters? I'm sure he must have ridden Disneyland's carousel.

K. Martinez - good eye!

Rich T., I think that Walt took his daughters to Griffith Park regularly, and I wouldn't be surprised if he did ride the carousel at first, possibly growing bored with it after a while. Just a guess, of course!

June Carter Cash and Gene Roddenberry enjoy a ride on the Carrousel.

I don't know...that guy in the carousel pic looks like he might actually enjoy doing his taxes.

Melissa.... hilarious!

Snow White Archive, he is the elusive H&R Block, he even does other people's taxes.
