Fantasyland, July 1960
It's Sunday, and I don't want you to work too hard, so I've posted this slide that is almost a "picture of nothing". What was the photographer aiming at? The Skyway? The entrance to the Mad Tea Party? The souvenir stand? The guy in the cowboy hat? Your guess is as good as mine. He did manage to get the edge of his finger into the frame, so in that sense it is a self portrait.

That first picture after loading film to advance the film?
I think you have it Matterhorn. The “fuzz” on the right might be a light leak. But what a treat for us, as it is now a window to the past and a very candid historical look at Disneyland.
hi!
my name is nat.
i am seeking photos in which a thumb (or any finger) mistakenly gets in the picture frame. i am compiling such photos for a book proposal titled, "The Traveling Thumb." it will hopefully become one of those clever coffee table book.
i was hoping i could post your finger-in-the-picture photo on a blog i'm setting up now for the travelingthumb.
i can promise no money if the book gets published, but you would definitely get credit.
saying 'ok' to me posting your picture on my blog in no way, of course, gives me any rights to the picture and if you ever wanted it off the blog i would take it down. and, of course, a contract would be involved if it were to be used in a published book.
let me know!
:>
