Finding this slide was a heartbreaking experience....if it wasn't so severely damaged, it would be one of the best images I own! There's the red Viewliner at its station, and I love the women in the skyway bucket waving happily at the photographer. In spite of the significant damage, I thought that folks still might enjoy the photo. I've provided a detail of the slide as a bonus!
Great photos - I'd be happy to help you restore this one. Let me know if you'd be interested.- Dave

Arrrrrgh! The Disneyland slide collectors nemesis.... dvdpicasso!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain, Tangaroa...I stopped buying Disneyland slides years ago due to the crazy prices they fetch on ebay. Too much for me, anyway. Oh well, I'm happy to have the ones that I already own! And thanks for the offer, dvdpicasso...I will give the restoration a shot one of these days. I am fairly proficient in Photoshop, since I use it every day for work (I'm in the cartoon biz).
ReplyDeleteHey Tanga- at least he is now posting some of his images- the first one is right up your alley!!
ReplyDeleteWow!! Some of the best photos of the early Park. I'm new to this blogging stuff and failed to read the comments about the restoring of the picture. I use Photoshop for fun and restored the image and would like to send it to you. It took me about 6 hours - a labor of love!! Thank You so much for doing this for everyone.
ReplyDeleteP.S how do I send you the image?
Hello Major!! Figured out how to post picture using my blog DisneyDutchman. I hope you like it, it the least I could do considering the effort you have put in providing us (Disneyland Lovers) with so much pleasure with your blog - DD
