Snoozles™
It will be no mystery as to why today's scans fall into the "Snoozles™" category. The most controversial category of all?? "Colliers" magazine wrote a piece about it, and Colliers hasn't even been in print since 1957! The article was titled, "Are Snoozles™ Corrupting Today's Youth?". The answer is YES.
Yeesh, this one is pretty lousy. It's the familiar African Veldt tableau, which always reminds me of the scene in "The Lion King", where all the animals gather at Pride Rock to see baby Simba. Only the Jungle Cruise has some lions munching on a dead zebra. Maybe the other animals are just glad it isn't them on the menu? "I never liked Zoltan anyway".
From a different lot we get this "meh" look at Castle Rock, an incredible natural rock formation caused by tectonic forces, erosion, and bugs. Seeing this image make me have the overwhelming desire to plant a Yippee flag at the top and be a general annoyance (more than usual, I mean).

Wellll, we've got a pretty nice picture of the zebra on the right. And those spiky orange flowers are rather striking. [JB is trying mightily to make lemonade out of dead zebra pee.] But yes, this one is a Snoozle. The lighting looks like a near total solar eclipse. And the focus is kinda soft and squishy. But other than that!
More soft, squishy focus. But this one is quite decent! Good lighting. Cascade Peak in the background. A nice angle of Castle Rock. I thought maybe I could see the bighorn sheep on Cascade Peak, but alas, they're just trees/shrubs. Or maybe they're rabbits, looking big because of the forced perspective.
Interesting that we can't see any of the rivers in these two pics. Thanks, Major.
I don't think the lions are really "munching" on Zoltan. I think they are just watching over him while he sleeps.
Well, if they are you can’t blame the lions . Zebra is delicious. The problem is deciding what is best? White meat? Dark meat? White meat ? Dark meat?……..
