...I do have a flyer for the 1967 Spring Fling. It's almost 25 inches long, so I had to cut it in two. I should have just cut the photo in two, I feel kind of silly now! Anyway, I wouldn't mind having that '67 Mercury Cougar.

The sun is starting to set, and the horses are getting sleeeeepy. So sleeeeeepy! The chunky afternoon air lends a dreamy quality to this image. I have to admit that it is a bit amusing to see standard table umbrellas all over the park; they do look kind of festive, I guess.

Don't worry horsie, soon you'll be resting backstage with a bag full of oats and a personal massage therapist, and maybe some Mozart playing in the background.

Real beautiful shots of the streetcar.
ReplyDeleteCut the picture in 2 -- Uhh huh! I got it. LOL.
Poop-Free streets! Just the way Walt liked 'em.
ReplyDeleteI like my streets poop-free also!
ReplyDeleteExcellent. Pic#2 is really dream like. I see a book in your future...Dreamy Disneyland.
ReplyDeleteOMG, I actually HAD one of those GE Porta-Color TV sets -- a 12" screen IIRC. Yeow, whatta a fabulous nostalgia-flogger this post was! Great stuff Major!!! :D
ReplyDeleteSpring Fling '66 was pretty similar in terms of being a separate ticket event that included unlimited use of all adventures and attractions (excepting shooting galleries) and offering the chance at prizes. The 1966 event happened on April 2.
