Here are some more "ho-hum" photos taken from aboard one of the Horse Drawn Streetcars. You'd think that they would be interesting, but instead they are just kind of bad.
The castle is nearly eclipsed by the rear-end of a horse and by the shoulder of our trusty driver. These eclipses only happened once every 300 years, so this is a rare photo.
This might be one of the worst photos of the castle that I have in my collection. Which makes it kind of lovable if you ask me.
Major-
ReplyDeleteI was working on a joke involving 'Trusty', but it kinda fell flat. But it's still nice to The SBC in the distance and one part of an Omnibus.
Happy Sunday. Thanks, Major.
"The SBC" - I've never heard that acronym before. And I love it.
ReplyDeleteThe first shot shows the Streetcars engaging in their periodic game of "chicken", much to the delight of the watching guests.
ReplyDeleteYou know, for a “leftuggy” that first photo actually has a fairly decent composition.
ReplyDeleteThe second photo is kind of loveable, in a three legged puppy kind of way. But I think the photographer was attempting to capture that cool early morning shade in the foreground there, which in fact I think he did a good job at.
Did I spell “leftuggy” correctly, Major?
(leftuggies) or (leftuggys) I think the first way, right? How did mom spell it?
ReplyDelete"kind of loveable, in a three legged puppy kind of way".
ReplyDeleteMonkey Cage Kurt, That is pure gold!
These have the 'you-are-there' quality...nothing staged or static. A moment in time of everyday activity in the Park. KS
ReplyDeleteNanook, I’m trying to imagine a “Trusty” joke. Like Trusty from Lady and the Tramp?
ReplyDeleteChuck, I’ve used “SBC” for labeling slides for years!
Patrick Devlin, ha ha, that is some game of chicken. Everyone can jump to safety if need be.
Monkey Cage Kurt, I spell it “leftuggie”, but it works just as well with a “y”. Let’s call it a regional variation! I see what you mean regarding these photos, but kind of wish there wasn’t so much blurry foreground.
Monkey Cage Kurt again, leftuggie was just a word she said when we were going to have leftovers for dinner, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen her write it down.
K. Martinez, that is kind of a perfect description - doesn’t it always seem as if three-legged dogs are ever happier than the four-legged variety?
KS, see, now I feel bad. I need to be more “the glass is half full”!!
Thanks Ken, and please feel free to get all the mileage out of it that you can.
