Not worth your time to sit through this, believe me. Patrick Hurd has done some pretty crummy podcasts in the past, and this certainly belongs on the bottom of that pile.
Sheesh! Its like bad Trek fan fiction.

The YouTube link works. Painful to watch though. Waste of bandwidth. Almost as bad as the ones where he's just flopped on the couch talking drivel about the parks.

ReplyDeletePatrick Hurd is a good guy, and he knows a wealth of Disneyland history and trivia. I haven't seen the video yet (it's only 7:30 in the morning!), but I know that he tries to find an entertaining way to present the info in a way that doesn't just reel off dry facts and figures. Guess it might not be for everyone...

ReplyDeletePretentious nonsense. It wasn't fun at all, it didn't capture the spirit of the attraction, and came off as a little icky.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad when people need to assemble bits and pieces of work by others to create something that they pass off as their own.
And could the opening credits go on any longer?

ReplyDeleteI can't help thinking about the work that Patrick poured into this project, in the hopes of entertaining people... FOR FREE. If you don't like it, well, that happens - - but it really doesn't seem very cool to say nasty things about it.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen it?! Neil Patrick Harris and Corey Burton earned top billing but neither had more than a handful lines. The artwork was inconsistent and jarring. Staying with one style would have been much smoother. Juxtaposing a child's artwork against a serious tale of death and agony is simply awkward.
ReplyDeleteI've seen it and don't see what all the uproar's about. I liked it and agree with the Major; it was free entertainment and for those anonymous individuals who didn't like it, you're welcome to your opinion. However, there're other ways of expressing it without being abusive.
