Souvenir Sunday, Moonliner at Night
Maybe the title of this post would more accurately be "Cheater Sunday", since I always feel a bit like I'm cheating when I share an old souvenir slide. And I already posted a souvenir slide two days ago. Somehow I still manage to sleep, though! Especially when the image is as nice as this night shot of the Moonliner... you don't see many of those. This picture bears a close resemblance to photos of Saturn V rockets from the Apollo space program. 5-4-3-2-1 BLAST OFF!

WOW!!! What a great shot. You don't see many night pics from this era.
All that's missing is the full moon over the horizon.

I don't mind souvenir shots like this!
Probably one of the finest pictures of the Moonliner I have ever seen. This is not cheating...its called sharing. I can hear the Mustangs playing in the background at the Space Bar. Awesome.
Absolutely a Wow shot. It totally nails the feeling you got wandering through the original TL at night.
The coolest thing about that rocket at night was watching guests as they exited the ride. So many of them, kids especially, would turn around and look back at the rocket. In daylight it looked cool. At night it looked majestic.
WOW and what everyone else said! What "brand" of slide was this? Was it a magenta Panavue? It looks luxurious......
This slide has turned magenta, though it is not a Panavue. There is no real information except that each one says "Duplicate Slide By Frank Holmes Laboratories, Inc", and then there is a printed description of the image on the slide on the reverse.
Glad everybody seemed to liked it!
Not your typical commercial slide; have never seen this one. No apology necessary, Major!
Disneyland at night has always been special, and this image nails that magical quality. Holy cow, that is an awesome picture.
Although it looks like the guy waiting in line isn't impressed... :)
beautiful!!!
