Dullsville

Welcome to Dullsville - population, whoever has the misfortune to be looking at these uninspiring photos!

Most people don't realize that Anaheim has some of the most active geological topography in the Nation. Just like the Himalayas, plate tectonics have pushed both Castle Rock and the larger Cascade Peak up from the surrounding area. You'll even find fossils of sea creatures (ammonites, trilobites, crinoids, etc) at the top of Cascade Peak as proof of this activity!

The Friendly Indian Village was a happy, peaceful place to live - except for every 20 years, when an evil clown would materialize! It was awful. Seltzer water and balloons everywhere. The hair of one young Indian boy turned completely white, he was so traumatized. Say, now that I think of it, it's been nearly 20 years since we've seen that clown...

MAN, I have to work hard to try to make these photos interesting.

Well... it may not be Cascade Peak's most-flattering angle, but then again it's still Cascade Peak (& Castle Rock).

Dullsville - population 1 and counting.

    Thanks, Major.

  3. I assume you’re referencing Pennywise of Stephen King’s “IT” - but as a long time fan of that film I can’t resist pointing out that Pennywise made his appearances every THIRTY years - not twenty!! Unless maybe Disney was hiring him as a special cast member during his time off from Derry!

  4. Here!

I had to look up "crinoid". This post is educational AND fun. Or else it's a dessert topping AND a floor wax. I get confused sometimes.

Yes, educational and fun. Just like the 1939 World's Fair.

  7. Nanook, come on, we know you don’t live in Dullsville!

Scott Lane, “hate” is such a strong word. Why not use “despise” instead?

E Michael Gannon, there must be more than one evil clown spirit, don’t you think? And this one has a better work ethic.

Patrick Devlin, I am glad that I have introduce you to the wonderful world of crinoids!

    Nanook - “It’s a floor wax!” “It’s a dessert topping!”

    Sunday Night, it’s edufunular!
