Bride of Wiggle Vision!

It's the sequel that nobody was clamoring for! Feast your eyes upon "The Bride of Wiggle Vision".
In MIND BENDING 3D

First, let's see this horrible 2D photo that just sits there like a lazy hippie. Join the army, Skyway!

And now for the exciting 3D version, wiggling like Columbian megastar Shakira!

These three little pigs are so flat. Like uncooked bacon in a skillet.

Now they are so round and adorable that we can practically hug them and wuv them.

This has always been one of my favorites from my collection, even in its 2D state.

But when it is extra-wiggly, look out! It's an 11 on the Richter scale. You can almost reach out and grab a hat.

I almost prefer to see the animated versions in their thumbnail size, personally.

  1. Hi Maj, do you know the year of the hostess pic?

Maybe slower motion. But it is cool to get that space perception and thanks again for including the standard versions so peeps can enjoy it either way. :)

Maybe it's the shakes: the 1st from riding the Skyway, the 2nd from too much coffee at Hills Bros. and the 3rd from l-o-v-e! ;)

  4. The next best thing to being there! Wigglevision should win a Nobel Peace Prize!

  5. Chiana, the photographer helpfully dated his slide "July 17 1968". And you're right, maybe the pictures should wiggle more slowly… I've seen animated gifs moving quickly, which is why I did it that way as well, but somehow I think these might work better if they're not so frenetic.

Melissa, if we had Piggly Wiggly stores in California, I would shop there just because of the name.

Thufer, I'm still trying to decide if I want to do more of these. They're kind of a pain!

Bill, the army is just what that Skyway needs to whip it into shape.

Rich T, I am waiting for a call from Sweden any day now!

Years ago, like 1963, there was a Piggly-Wiggly in Encino!

These are fantastic, Major! I for one love "wiggle vision"! I love the depth that it creates. Kind of reminds me of a view finder... just wiggly. :)

Oh, I've been following you for a while, but don't believe that I've commented on your blog before. So just for the record, I wanted to say "thank you" for your blog! Each day is a wonderful trip back in time and brings a smile to my face.

  8. ALWAYS FUN!

I agree with the slower wiggle, but it makes me giggle either way!

  9. Personally, I love wiggle vision. It's just like those old 3D lenticular postcards I used to have as a kid. You know if you charged admission, I'd pay....

  10. I would read your blog regularly just for the great photos. I would read your blog regularly just for the cheeky humor. Having both in one place is ridiculously convenient. Keep up the good work, Amigo!

  12. The wiggle combined with the vintage pictures makes me nostalgic for my old View master.

  13. Hey, that wiggling is exactly how it felt to take off in a Skyway bucket. Authentic!
