More Santa's Village, August 1959

Are you ready to spend 73 seconds visiting Santa's Village?!? Well, strap on your snow shoes and come on! (*trying desperately to build excitement...)

Just look at all those funky little buildings. Fairy tale castles next to log cabins next to structures that resemble Nordic stave churches. Santa's town is koo-koo-kooky. See those geese, I don't like them. They're mean, and they poop a lot. A LOT.

There it is: the NORTH POLE. Isn't it grand? No matter how hot it might be in the San Bernardino mountains, that pole is always covered in a layer of permafrost. Fortunately, elf butts have a thick layer of blubber so that they can safely sit on such structures.

Yeah, I know, we've already seen a nearly identical photo of this same attraction. I scanned this one by mistake. You can't imagine how much sleep I've lost over it!

  1. I only spent 67 seconds on this post, don't be mad at me, but geese freak me out almost as bad as monkeys - just look at them trapped in the little pond, poor girl on the left didn't have a clue what was about to happen...

  2. Looks like it was warmer for this photographer than when my pics were taken.

Major, now I remember the North Pole 'statue' too. Thanks for the memories.
