Want a closer look?

This blog has nothing to do with gorillas (though I love 'em)...fellow bloggers have inspired me to share vintage images of Disneyland from my personal collection. But don't be surprised if you see something from a World's Fair, Knott's Berry Farm, or someplace else that is cool!
What a rare view - and with the Viewliner no less! The Matterhorn sure changed the landscape here.
ReplyDeleteOooooooo - that's a really nice one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a way to start of the week. Thanks Major. Very Nice.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the Viewliner is about to travel over part of snow mountain. I never realized the Viewliner traveled over hilly terrain. I always assumed it went on level ground. What an interesting photo.
ReplyDeleteUpon further inspection it looks like part of the Viewliner track is in back of a dirt hill. So it appears that the Viewliner is not the hill climber I thought it was!
ReplyDeleteAlso, a little detail, note that there are two drinking fountains under the tree. One for adults, and one, with a step, for kids. It must have cost twice as much to put them in but someone had the guests in mind when they made that decision.
Sweet Skyway Picture, Love the colors... Hey I have a Skyway post today too! "great minds"....
ReplyDeleteThanks for this neat shot (with the Viewliner no less!) I wanna step right in, well, as soon as my Skyway bucket reaches its station!
THANKS!!!!!
What a great shot! Fun to study.
ReplyDeleteReally nice shots.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a good picture of the front of the Autopia that shows off the winged logo/character?
Thanks!
I'm glad everyone liked this one! Biblioadonis, I probably do have a photo that shows the front of the eagle, but I'll have to dig around and see if I can find one.
