The only way this photo could be any better is if there were mermaids.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm in the mood to wear my silver lamé jumpsuit. But that's another story.
This blog has nothing to do with gorillas (though I love 'em)...fellow bloggers have inspired me to share vintage images of Disneyland from my personal collection. But don't be surprised if you see something from a World's Fair, Knott's Berry Farm, or someplace else that is cool!
Wow silver lame and ubiquitous all in one post. You are on quite a roll!
ReplyDeleteIs it true that the skyway ride was eliminated from the park because of a constant problem with 'spitters' and/or beverage droppers? It's easy to imagine a bunch of no-goodniks using the gondola as their own bomber planes; pouring sugary drinkables (or spitting) onto the heads of the hapless pedestrians below.
ReplyDeleteyou did say ubiquitous...cool picture.
ReplyDeleteDo you ever answer questions? I asked a few in my comment on your one with the psychedelic car from Universal Studios 1868. I gave you my e-mail address in it (in my comment). I hope that wasn't a mistake.
ReplyDeleteI really love your blog - You have the greatest old photos.
