I like the use of whimsical cartoon figures to add interest to what could otherwise be a bland construction wall. If you look at the walls surrounding the Submarine lagoon at Disneyland, you can see how they took that concept to a whole new level.
This blog has nothing to do with gorillas (though I love 'em)...fellow bloggers have inspired me to share vintage images of Disneyland from my personal collection. But don't be surprised if you see something from a World's Fair, Knott's Berry Farm, or someplace else that is cool!
The cartoons on the wall are great; not as slick as what is on the Nemo ride currently, but much funnier in their simplicity. Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the cartoon and the wall was recycled from the Jungle Cruise rehab of 1962? The brochure has the same name as the cartoon chap in the bowler and tails.
