It makes such a difference when the sky is a rich blue rather than the washed-out white that sometimes happens.

K. Martinez, thanks for the into… it's funny, I did think "Hmmm, that Monorail looks different", but didn't put it all together. I think my friend took most of his early Instamatic pictures through to about 1970, so you are probably correct.

Melissa, did they have ominous babies?

Katella, I agree!Major Pepperidgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09843598326995116014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25922463.post-68946087248941959892013-01-25T07:56:27.343-08:002013-01-25T07:56:27.343-08:00It's when you look at pictures like this that ...It's when you look at pictures like this that you realize what an awesome place Disneyland is.Katella Gatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05562521359201308834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25922463.post-91357416556352268352013-01-25T04:21:04.055-08:002013-01-25T04:21:04.055-08:00I bet the ominous shadowy man in the first picture...I bet the ominous shadowy man in the first picture is married to the ominous shadowy lady in the second.Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06169920944565828337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25922463.post-35116645123487394842013-01-25T01:39:17.146-08:002013-01-25T01:39:17.146-08:00I agree with Nanook on the juxtaposition. These images show the “new” Monorail Station and Mark III Monorail Blue which didn’t debut until 1969. The last appearance of the Matterhorn Star was Christmas 1972. That’s as far as I could pin down the date with the clues in these images. I’d say these photos are more likely early-1970s than mid-1960s.
K.
