Here's a scarce photo (from a stereo slide, no less) looking down the barrel of the 'scope itself. The entrance is at the far end (obscured by the blinding flash), you made a hard right as you entered. Our photographer is standing with his back to the magnificent displays that demonstrated the myriad ways that aluminum embiggened our lives.
This blog has nothing to do with gorillas (though I love 'em)...fellow bloggers have inspired me to share vintage images of Disneyland from my personal collection. But don't be surprised if you see something from a World's Fair, Knott's Berry Farm, or someplace else that is cool!

Kaiser Aluminum Telescope
What do you do when you see a big aluminum telescope at Disneyland? Why, you don't just look through it, you walk right into it!

All I have to say is WOW! One of the most unusual images I have ever seen and something I thought I would never see. Thanks Major.

ReplyDeleteThat's one of the rarest images I've ever seen of DL. Fantastic. How about posting the other 3-D image so we can put them in a viewer and really knock ourselves out?
