We must have gone at least a dozen times while it was open.

And what I remember now, almost 50 years later is the inside of that gigantic engine - the crank shaft and pistons had the appearance of an enormous dragon... I remember this vividly even now, and I can't recall one specific thing about either GM's or Ford's exhibits.

The other thing I remember was the pizza pavillions scattered throughout the park. Some of the best pizza I've ever had.@wendydesignshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12496827663647388930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25922463.post-83441031488375726412008-07-26T09:09:00.000-07:002008-07-26T09:09:00.000-07:00What a Worlds Fair! Wish I had these slides for my collection.

Great post.Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01891803494450719808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25922463.post-9219926959799587122008-07-25T00:37:00.000-07:002008-07-25T00:37:00.000-07:00and the lady in the middle pic wondering if she re...and the lady in the middle pic wondering if she really should've gone ahead to the Ford exhibit, where they might've had bigger chairs, too.....
hehe

I think the original Charger prototype might've been displayed by Chrysler there. I grew up around an original 66 and it still had traces of that turbine space age flair in the gages etc. It wasn't a very good car but it looked a lot better than that world's LARGEST car!

More neat pics, you get that "you are there" vibe a bit huh? I wish I had been old enough to experience this fair. At least the four Disney exhibits survived in some form or another after the fair closed.

What's that man with the pole doing in the water in the third photo? Bad show! You'd never see something like that in a vintage DL pic.....oh wait, you would.TokyoMagic!https://www.blogger.com/profile/16340756514811789233noreply@blogger.com
